My recent experience with Humana: 1) I did not receive my medicines from Humana this month. My blood pressure as the result of not having my medicines is 198/89. 2) This morning I spent 2 1/2 hours for 4 calls to Humana to get a code for fitness program. Every time I called it took about 10 minutes to speak with right department. Every time I called they transferred me to Healthways.... Read more

Company cancelled plan without notification or explanation but continued to receive payments. Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing beginning with the local agent reps. Add comment

I just changed over to Humana Gold Plus after being on just medicare for the last several years. The doctor that they assigned me I refused because I had read several bad reviews about her. Prescriptions are more expensive with this plan than without any coverage at all. Every one of my meds are astronomically expensive not just a little more. One of my meds is 2.96 a month and through them it has to be approved and if approved its 236.00. They have no pain mgmt Doctors in network and won't cover if I go to one. With regular Medicare I could and pay 20% of the cost which works out... Read more

i recentley got a ride to my drs office thru humana and there was a roach crawling around in the van i have a fear of roaches, can't they do something about this the driver was very nice and apolize for this but i would be very cautious about using this service again, because of my illness i cannot drive, and this is one of the reason i took this plan, but was very dissapointed at this... Their transportation service is very,very poor, they never ever show up on time to take you to your appointments i always have to call them back to find out what happened to my pickup,why can't the drivers who are supposed to pick you up call them back if their going to be late? Why does the vustomer have to be the one to call transportation to find out what happened, also when u call back after... Read more

After jumping through hoops to get prior appproval for a drug not on the formulary, it was ***. It took 10 phone calls to get th script ordered. Timed out on hold 2x times and was hung up on. Even with the letter, the clowns at the pharmacy refused to take th order. Got that far twice as well, no order. Called my salesman (that's all they are apparently), didn't know what he could do to help.... Read more

My mother's experience with this so-called health care company has been unremitting hassle. Their modus operandi is to deny things, and benefits coordinators are compelled to play silly games, first trying to get patients into a higher level of care knowing it will be denied, in order then to get them into the next level of care down. They can't just start off asking for the lower level of care... Read more

Three times I have had a problem whereby Humana Transportation failed to show up. I do not have peace of mind. I am in NY and my folks are in Florida. I schedule all their rides and THREE times, the drivers have not shown up. On other occasions, the driver arrived late. I can read my computer screen with a screen magnifier 'ZoomText'. One eye blind the other 20/400. When I got the 2015 plan description, it was printed way too small for me to read. I asked if they could put this on the net so I could read it. "NO". We will send you the "Large Text" version. This also is too small for me to read.
